Now that you have decided to start a business the best place to start is setting yourself some goals. Think about the amount of money you would like to make or the rank you would like to achieve, then set a time you think you can achieve that by. Next I would like to get into the heart of your decision to ensure you get there. Goals can set an expectation, and give you short term happiness when you achieve them. However focusing on your values along the way allows you to enjoy the whole process not just the result.
Doing things you don’t like just for survival won’t keep you there for very long. Doing things for status won’t last much longer, even freedom is superficial. Freedom to do what -what will you do with your freedom this is your why. (Just a tip it’s how you will help people and be a giver.) Something you would get out of bed for even if you weren’t getting paid. This is your Purpose.
Once you find your passion, you put soul and passion into your business, things will be clearer, it will be easier to make decisions, set boundaries, and do hard things because you’ll know why you are doing them. You will experience greater fulfillment when you live by your values.
So how do you figure out what these core values are? For some people just sitting in a quiet place, with time to reflect, thinking of a time you experienced joy, and write things that come to mind. For others looking at a blank piece of paper might make us draw-a-blank, so I suggest downloading a core values list. (There is a free download here) Next, highlight some that are most important to you. If you have more than 7-8, group them into categories, and see if one category is inclusive of others. Narrow your list until is is 5-8. Prioritize this list putting them in order, most important first. Define what each one means to you.
This may take some time to reflect on, so be sure to set a time in a month or so to review these, to see if you still see them the same way.

Thanks to the high levels of carvacrol, oregano oil may help fight certain types of bacteria. For instance, Staphylococcus is a common type of bacteria that causes staph infection. Some strains occur naturally in the body, but when the bacteria grow too quickly, it can cause bothersome symptoms. Research shows that carvacrol is effective in eliminating the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis, two common causes of infection. I am often asked about dilution. Because of the potency and purity of these oils, dilution will be necessary this is great as it means your oils will last longer and be able to be applied to your skin.
Different oils have a warming or cooling effects on the skins such as oregano, or peppermint. This can feel like a burning sensation on sensitive skin so always dilute and test before applying. Whereas other oils such as Lavender are more soothing to the skin, and can be used with little or no dilution depending on age, and area of the body.
Other things to consider with oil blends are the sun sensitive oils (Citrus) that can amplify the effects of the sun and cause burning if used on the skin before sun expose.
Please keep in mind these charts are only a guideline to follow. When counting drops I tend to get that stubborn drop that won’t come out and then 2 drops come out It’s OK if your blend does not have the exact drops the chart is recommending (remember it is a guideline). Essential oil drops are really an inaccurate measure because the viscosity differs in oils and not all droppers used are the exact same, meaning drops are not a uniform measurement. So again, these are guidelines.
Essential Oils can be great for the skin but where to start?
Here is a quick list of oils – and the quickest way to get them into your regular routine.
1. Helichrysum – When it comes to essential oils for skincare, nothing beats the effectiveness of Helichrysum. It contains anti-microbial, anti-biotic and regenerative compounds that promote healthy skin cell growth and regeneration. It also helps speed up healing of wounds, burns, and rashes and reduces scarring. Add a few drops to your cleanser.
2. Lavender (True or French) Whether you are trying to soothe skin irritation or merely nourish delicate skin, there are many uses of Lavender oil for skin. The soothing properties of Lavender essential oil have made it a popular option for skincare products, at-home skincare DIYs, and simple topical application. Add to everything – Razor cream, face cream, hand cream, shampoo, and after sun gel.
3. Tea Tree (Melaleuca) – Great for: acne, inflamed skin, fungal infections, sebum regulation, abscesses, boils, cold sores, cuts, and dandruff. If you have something, itchy, scratchy, or puffy, there’s a good chance tea tree oil can help you. Dab on any areas of concern or add to cleaner/toner
4. Geranium Used cosmetically or topically in general, Geranium Essential Oil is reputed to contribute to the health of the skin cells and ultimately the health of the complexion. … Its astringent property helps tighten the skin and to diminish the appearance of the symptoms of aging, such as sagging and wrinkling skin. Best added to night or day cream, eye serum, and hand cream.
5. Frankincense Boswellia... Great for: Mature skin, dry skin, wrinkles, scar tissue, eczema, acne, inflamed skin conditions, stretch marks and blackheads Even those who know nothing about essential oils are probably familiar with frankincense. What makes it so wonderful for the skin is its wound healing and regenerative properties. Because of this, Frankincense is effective on boils, acne and scarring. It can also help stretch marks to fade. Add to night or day cream, and eye cream.
One of the most common types of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia, though it can also affect females, is better known as male pattern baldness.
Rosemary oil treats androgenetic alopecia by preventing the cause of this condition, a by product of testosterone attacking your hair follicles . When men with androgenetic alopecia massaged diluted rosemary oil into their scalp twice daily for six months, they experienced the same increase in hair thickness as those who used minoxidil (Rogaine), a common hair regrowth remedy. Those who used the rosemary oil reported less scalp itching compared to minoxidil, which suggests that rosemary may be more tolerable. Other research indicates that rosemary oil may fight patchy hair loss, or alopecia areata, which affects up to half the population below age 21 and about 20% of people above 40. When people with alopecia areata rubbed a rosemary essential oil blend into their scalp each day for seven months, 44% showed improvement in their hair loss compared to only 15% in the control group, who used the neutral oils jojoba and grapeseed.
Lavender has long been used as a treatment for alopecia and baldness. is widely considered one of the most versatile essential oils, being extremely beneficial for numerous issues. Because of its normalizing and synergistic properties, it is considered useful for most ailments. Lavender is also considered one of the most beneficial essential oils for treating hair loss as well. A a very soothing and calming oil, lavender can help with an irritated scalp, but it is also regenerating as well. In fact, a study conducted in 2016 found that lavender oil significantly increased the number of hair follicles and hair follicle depth. And since it’s considered one of the safest essential oils, lavender can be used on just about anybody!
According to a 2014 study, those treated with peppermint oil experienced an increase in follicle count, increase in follicle depth, and a thickened dermal layer after four weeks. However, please note that due to its high menthol content, peppermint oil should not be used on or near the face of young children or infants.
Geranium is another essential oil that is used for hair loss, because it is another regenerating essential oil, it and is considered beneficial in stimulating hair growth. Comprised of mostly citronellol and geraniol, geranium has a high count of monoterpenes which are considered to be immune stimulants and general tonics. It is also commonly used in skin care due to its anti-inflammatory properties and its abilities to balance out skin types. This also makes it beneficial to use when dealing with hair loss due to allergic or irritated skin.
Another essential oil to consider when dealing with hair loss is clary sage. Not to be confused with common sage, clary sage is a stimulating oil and can be used to both reduce hair loss and promote hair growth. Because it is commonly used to regulate hormones and stress, it can be especially beneficial for hair loss that is due to stress or hormonal issues. Please note that clary sage should not be used by those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, when drinking alcohol, or if estrogen levels need to be monitored.
Cedarwood A study was published in 1998 regarding patients who suffered from alopecia areata. The patients were treated with an essential oil blend of cedarwood, rosemary, lavender, and thyme. The blend was massaged on the scalp of individuals every day for 7 months. The results showed that 44% of the patients found improvement with their alopecia after using the essential oil blend. Cedarwood can also be beneficial when dealing with hair loss, and is considered to be useful for multiple skin and scalp conditions, including itchy scalp, dandruff, and oily hair.
Roman chamomile is most known for its calming and gastric properties, chamomile is also used to support hair health. Gentle and calming, chamomile has been used for numerous issues for decades. Because of its ability to help with stress and anxiety, chamomile can be beneficial for hair loss due to anxiety or nervous disorders. It is also very calming to the skin and helpful when dealing with irritated, allergic, or itchy skin and scalp. Chamomile is often used in hair care and is even thought to help lighten hair color. Like lavender, chamomile is considered a safe oil and can be used on most individuals.
If not diluted properly, essential oils can cause irritation and sensitization, so make sure to always dilute them accordingly.It’s important to remember that a little goes a long way with essential oils. Because they are highly concentrated substances, only a small amount is needed.
Some days are easy and some days are hard, but some days you really need emotional support.
Today is one of those days for me. I am just feeling really fragile for no real reason. I received some criticism, (for something that wasn’t my fault) and I’ve felt terrible all day. My life is pretty good, I can’t complain. I work from home, all my needs met, I’m doing well and today I even got to watch my two eldest daughters receive some well deserved awards for school achievement. That didn’t stop that nagging gut feeling, that was bringing me down.
Why such a small thing could get me down is beyond my comprehension, it’s not my normal, but here I am hours later thinking any moment I could cry if I think about it for more than 3 seconds. The person even called me, to admit it was in fact his fault for not communicating the details after making an exception to usual procedures. But still I feel low. this is very out of character for me, I have even prayed for comfort.
The LORD works in mysterious ways.
So I turned to essential oils. A quick check in a book/app for oils to use and I’m reaching for the diffuser. Clary Sage, Lavender, Lemon and Lime to the rescue. I put these oils in the diffuser, but later decided to make up a 10mL roller with this same blend. I also decided to treat myself to a pot of tea in a special set a friend gave me. After an hour sitting here with the diffuser, It has really lifted my spirits and I and feel the frowns line leaving.
Peripheral Neuropathy involves the weakness, numbness, and pain from nerve damage, usually on the hands, feet, and head. This condition can be brought upon by diabetes, and in some cases, it can be caused by certain injuries.
Using essentials oils for Peripheral Neuropathy can help individuals living with Peripheral Neuropathy more manageable, by providing a sense of relief from the painful symptoms.
In a 2010 study, researchers gave a homeopathic topical oil to 60 participants with foot pain resulting from peripheral neuropathy. This oil included a blend of geranium, lavender,bergamot, tea tree, and eucalyptus oils. Fifty six participants receiving this treatment reported a decrease in pain within 30 minutes.
Eucalyptus has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and antiseptic properties, which provide significant relief from muscle and joint pain. It has cooling and refreshing effects, which may reduce stress and alleviate mental exhaustion.
Known as the ‘King of Oils’, Frankincense has extraordinary benefits. Contains antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It can also improve respiration and helps relieve some muscular spasms. Frankincense has amplification properties when mixed with other oils, amplifying the effects and benefits of other oils, and working in a synergy effect. When inhaled or diffused, Frankincense promotes feelings of peace, relaxation, satisfaction, and overall spiritual and emotional wellness.
Geranium helps reduce inflammation, alleviate anxiety, alleviate pain, as an astringent it stimulates contractions in numerous parts of the body. Accordingly, Geranium Oil helps make the gums, muscles, intestines, skin, tissues as well as blood vessels to contract.
Essential oil, which have antidepressant and stimulating qualities. Bergamot is known for its ability to promote cheerfulness, feelings of freshness and increased energy by improving the circulation of your blood. Bergamot oil is a great way to reduce the symptoms of sprains, muscle aches and headaches. Instead of relying on pain killers that have nasty side effects, use this safe and natural oil to reduce pain and tension Research shows that Bergamot oil has analgesic effects and can be used in complementary medicine to minimize tension in the body anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-convulsant effects. Researchers believe that this may be linalool’s ability to block effects on pain receptors and inhibit the release of substance P, a compound that’s involved in the transmission of pain and other nerve impulses.
In ancient Greece and Rome, Rosemary was used to strengthen memory. Known for improving circulation, relaxing muscles fibers, and suppressing muscles spasms. Rosemary lowers the levels of the stress hormone cortisol Increased cortisol levels can suppress your immune system, contribute to insomnia and cause mood swings, among other potential problems. If you experience cold fingers and toes — even in relatively warm temperatures — Rosemary oil helps warm fingers These effects were confirmed by thermal imaging. Rosemary oil may help by expanding your blood vessels, thereby warming your blood so that it reaches your fingers and toes more easily. Studies suggests that rosemary oil may help reduce tissue inflammation that can lead to swelling, pain and stiffness. It may do so by stemming the migration of white blood cells to injured tissues to release inflammatory chemicals.
Because tea tree oil helps with inflammation, it makes sense that it can relieve sore, tight, and inflamed muscles. Just mix 10-20 drops with a cup or so of Epsom salt and pour it into a warm bath and you have a relaxing,muscle soothing soak.

Time for Homework – Heightens alertness, for that afternoon homework session, diffuse or just sniff from the bottle, – probably don’t want to encourage them to put this on their hands they WILL rub it in their eyes no matter how old they are! TRUST ME!
Time for Bed, apply to skin in a soothing massage or diffuse in bedroom.
